About Monarch
A new day
starts here.
A structured, supportive sober living home for women on Florida’s Atlantic coast.
Our Mission
A safe, structured
place to
begin again.
Recovery begins the way every day does — quietly, with first light, and one steady step at a time.
Recover at Monarch is a sober living home for women in Miami, Florida. We offer the structure, accountability and community that help early recovery take hold, inside a calm, light-filled home where a new routine can start to feel like your own.
Monarch was founded by Katie Andersen around a simple belief: every woman deserves a safe, structured place to begin again — and people around her who understand the road she’s on.
The Monarch Philosophy
What shapes
life here.
Structure
Steady daily routines — mornings, meals, responsibilities, meetings and rest — give each day a reliable shape.
Accountability
The expectations are clear and consistent. Following through, honestly, is how trust is rebuilt — with others and with yourself.
Community
Living alongside women who understand early recovery creates encouragement, connection and shared commitment.
Growth
Monarch is shaped by what helps in the first fragile weeks, what builds confidence over the months that follow, and what it takes to walk forward on your own.
Why “Monarch”
Transformation
takes time.
A monarch’s change doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in stages, each one necessary, each one taking the time it needs.
Recovery is similar. It is rarely a straight line, and no one moves through it on someone else’s schedule. What a supportive environment can offer is the steadiness to keep moving forward — one sunrise at a time.
Clear about what we are
Sober living,
honestly described.
Recover at Monarch is a sober living home — a substance-free residence with structure, expectations and community. It is a place to live while you build the routines of a sober life.
Sober living is not a detox facility, a hospital, or a clinical treatment program, and it doesn’t replace medical, psychiatric or emergency care. Many women in sober living also work, attend school, or continue outpatient programming or therapy with outside providers when that’s part of their plan.
If you have questions about whether sober living is the right next step for you or someone you love, we’re glad to talk it through — and to be honest if another level of support would be a better fit first.
Every woman deserves a safe, structured place to begin again.Katie Andersen · Founder
